Gracian has some interesting advice for the good-looking as well, and it's more in line with the attached study's advice to women than to the men.
In his classic Renaissance book of advice, The Art of Worldly Wisdom, in advising avoidance of "Victories over Superiors, he writes:
All victories breed hate, and that over your superior is foolish or fatal. Superiority is always detested, à fortiori superiority over superiority. Caution can gloss over common advantages; for example, good looks may be cloaked by careless attire.
Gracian advises, in other words, that if you're good looking don't play it up, but rather tone it down. Your potential boss is more likely to be at ease around you and you'll more likely succeed in landing the job.
